Oregon Trip

This past week we took a trip to the Oregon Coast to have our celebration week. I say celebration week because it Sunday was Father's Day, Monday was Kade's 1st birthday, Tuesday was my birthday, and Saturday is Dusty and I's 5year anniversary. So I decided that we needed to do something big for this celebration week. We took off Friday and went to Florence where there are sand dunes along the coast line. Our friends Heather and Nathan and their two kids Rissa and Dax came with us and we had a great time camping out and riding all over the sand dunes. Then we took off to Depoe Bay and rented the cutest beach house. We had another couple, Heath and Nicole met us there too. On the way to Depoe Bay we stopped at a sea lion cave. There were sea lions everywhere and the wind was blowing towards us so we got some pretty bad smells coming at us. We had great weather and didn't get rained on once, which everyone told us that we most likely would get rained on half the time we were there but we managed to luck out. We did the whole coast experiece and did eveything from going crabbing, which we caught about 10 and they were delicious, to seeing the Oregon aquirium which is a must if you ever go to Newport. For my birthday, we had a bonfire right on the beach and cooked hotdogs and marshmallows. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Other than the fact that Monday night I got the flu and spent the majority of the night in the bathroom, but come Tuesday I was fine. It did manage to get 3 other people though. Luckily Dusty and Kade didn't get it.

Looks like a fun trip, Keri. Happy birthday! It sounds like you will have to plan a celebration week every year with so many things to celebrate. Congrats on five years, too. I can't believe it has been that long. It seems a lot shorter time since I was at your beautiful wedding.
