I just purchased a breadmaker and it came just in time for Easter gifts. I thought it turned out great. I also made some great cinnamon swirl bread and am giving that with some Bunny Butter (honey butter-but since it's Easter it turned into bunny butter). I still need some work on shaping the cinnamon bread since my first two attempts the top turned out a little uneven, well let me refrase that, they came out totally misshaped. Hopefully that doesn't affect the taste. Here are the recipe for the carrot bread(which I am pretty sure is just carrot cake but of course if you say bread you feel much better about eating the entire loaf than if you were to eat an entire cake) from my recipe book that came with the machine. The butter recipe is from my mom.
Carrot Bread
41/2 T oil
2 eggs
1/2 c white sugar
1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c pinapple crushed
11/4 c flour
1t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1t cocoa powder unsweetened
3/4 t cinnamon
1c grated carrots
1/3 c walnuts
1/3 c golden raisins
1/2 t vanilla extract
I did not put raisins in mine. Bake at 325 degrees for 1hr in medium bread pan
Bunny Butter
6 cubes butter
24oz honey
6oz marshmallow cream
Beat in mixer for a least 5min otherwise it does have a tendancy to sperate. I usually cut recipe in half unless you plan on giving a lot away!

such a cute idea! and that little man is getting big!...and cute!
Keri you are so creative! I love the way you packaged the bread/cake. I'm going to try your recipe. Happy Easter!
Keri That was a great idea and we have really enjoyed the bread. I want the recipe for the first loaf you sent over you know which one. The one you so nicely wrapped in the basket and sent home with Ron, now that was a unique loaf of bread. One of a kind I'd say.
