We have a very large window in our family room that is west facing. The sun beats through this window and heats up the room to an uncomfortable degree. We have tried several different things in order to keep the sun out, but the problem comes from the arch at the top of the window that nothing is able to cover. For the past 4yrs we have used these awful looking paper blinds that are shaped in a fan to cover this window but it has done little good and like I said is very unattractive. So I found these solar screens that a guy makes to custom fits your window and are hung from the outside. They look good and really do block the sun from heating up your room. He came to install them today. He was very polite and removed his shoes to come inside so I could write out his check. Upon leaving, low and behold one of his shoes had mysteriously disappeared. I knew exactly what happended. Our adorable puppy, that the man thought was so cute, had drugged it under the couch to have a good chew. Without think, I told the man it was probably under the couch. And of course it was, so to my horror he bent down to retrieve his shoe and to his astonishment he found his chewed up shoe and, pause, a pair of my dirty underwear that Lucky had drug under the couch to also chew on. AHHHHH. The poor man quickly composed himself and refused the extra money to pay for his shoes and left quickly.
Why oh why do dogs like underwear so much, especially the already worn kind that should be put in the hamper upon removal and not left lying around for guest to see. I guess the only good thing is that I will probably never see this man, and if for some reason I do, at least he will know I pay good money at Victoria's Secret for the pretties in my drawer.

How horrifying, yet funny! If it's not dogs, it's children. I guess we all have to get used to periodic embarrassments raising our little ones of every species :-). - Kalia
P.S. Found your blog on Holly's, it was fun to see your cute family. If you'd like to see mine email me at thebowman2@yahoo.com and I'll send you an invite!
Keri,
That is sooo embarrasing! Do you remember when Drew used to crawl in your dirty laundry and play with your underwear? EWW!
That is just too funny, that poor guy! Oh, I would have died but at least he wasn't someone you have to see on a regular basis. I love the pictures of Kade with the peanut butter and jelly, it's amazing how someone so little can make such a big mess!
aack! you win the most embaracing story contest! Kade is getting sooo big!
Keri, Anytime you want to come by, I'd be glad to give you a tour! I'm usually home on Wed. and Thurs. probably before noon would be better since Ethan will be in Preschool then and the boys usually nap after lunch, but whatever works for you. I'd love to meet Kade. Maybe we could go to lunch with Becky and her little guy when you're in town.
How about Friday the 19th? You can come by and see the house and I mentioned to Becky about the 3 of us getting togethe for lunch, does that work for you?
Keri, the 11th would work better for me, just let me know what time. I have to pick Ethan up from Preschool at noon. Did you want me to see if Becky wants to go to lunch or do you have time?

If you take Johns and drive north, halfway past the park there is Park St. Take a right. The next street is Maple, turn left and we are at 316, a 2 story white house. My cell number is 407-1710 if you need anything!
